In 2012 I had a request by a client asking if I did a corner clock. He had a Stickley Corner Wedding clock and was hoping I could make a custom version for him. I had never heard of a corner clock but it seemed like an interesting idea to me. My first drawing was a variation of my Prairie Tulip design, with a custom shelf to place it on.
Although he liked my drawing, my client had some specific ideas for his clock so I followed his lead.
We were both pretty pleased with the outcome, but I still had that drawing of my original idea with the shelf, so I built the first Prairie Tulip Corner Clock for the Pasadena Heritage Craftsman Exposition in October of 2012.
