Prairie Fountain

This would be my first Greene & Greene-inspired design. The inverted “cloud lift” and curved mullions are a departure from my other clocks. The straight vertical sides with the broad overhanging top and base reflect the Prairie style.

Rather than traditional Quarter-sawn Oak, I decided to do my first version in Khaya, which is a highly figured Mahogany. I first introduced this clock at the Craftsman Weekend Show in Pasadena in October of 2012. You can find out more about the yearly show in Pasadena at Pasadena Heritage. $700.
